Hello and welcome to my website. I’m not a great one for self promotion - like most artists I would rather my work spoke for me. But I hope that the images and story of my journey as an artist, researcher and teacher will interest and even inspire you to find out more about the creation of kiln formed glass.
You may have stumbled onto the site with little or no previous knowledge or experience of kiln formed glass. Maybe you’re a student, seeking to know more, or perhaps you are an accomplished practitioner yourself. Perhaps you are seeking some original work to add to an established collection. Whatever your reasons for visiting the site, I would be delighted to hear from you. From new (and renewed) relationships come new ideas and opportunities and that’s what makes a creative life worth living!
The site has been created by my friend Ted and is in sections for ease of navigation and reference. I hope it also gives a holistic sense of who I am, where I’ve been and where I’m heading.
It spans over thirty years, encompassing my formative experiences at Farnham, life changing study at the Academy of Applied Arts in Communist Prague, struggles to set up studios and establish my reputation - through to the present time, with an eclectic portfolio of exhibitions, teaching posts, research and most recently my first book, published in 2011. It has been a challenging but always worthwhile journey.
I am available for lecturing and research and of course, I am always keen to hear about opportunities to exhibit and sell my work.
Enjoy the site and please do get in touch if you feel so inclined.
